Life in an extraneous country
Life is a state of construction of various emotions, purposes, achievements and success. It is full of ups and downs, joys and disasters. Various situations makes every living being in this universe to live differently. In perspective to that, living in an extraneous country is one of them.
Leaving homeland and moving to a new country isn't an easy task. The ones who move has various reasons to do so. Some moves for higher studies, many of them does for research purpose, some does after getting a better job opportunity and for better earning in a better position. Also many of the families are staying abroad for better life. I being one of them, was born and raised in Saudi Arabia (KSA), have seen various outcomes in KSA and Bangladesh and comparing both, both of them are developing and improving the countries attributes gradually.
KSA has changed a lot and it has
become a developed country. Many of the people living in their home country
thinks that living abroad is always peaceful but it isn't always peaceful.
Although it gives vast opportunities but you won't get the taste of your
homeland. Though it's exciting and adventurous, it always doesn't bring any
fruitful outcome for everyone.
Talking about advantages, it provides vast opportunities such as adapting to a new society, grabbing their culture and can exchange one's own culture with others. One can savour various cuisine and it may match one's liking. Also it lets a person to explore various places of diverse beauty. It allows a person to engage with various communities along with local communities which strengthens the network for further beneficiary aspects. Moreover better education can be achieved for further interests in subjects. It also enhances a person to get certificates based on various courses which can help them to get better job opportunity. It also enables a person to learn a new language and makes a person confidence enough to survive according to Darwin’s theory, “Survival of the fittest”. Moreover, it enhances thinking capacity and broadens it.
Apart from advantages, living
abroad has disadvantages as well. Initially after moving abroad, one can face
language barrier if they don't learn the language prior to moving there. It may
also create discomfort to some people due to difference in culture.
Moreover, living abroad may lead to homesickness and some finds difficulties
making friends which worsens emotionally. It also makes a person unable to eat
according their desires due to difference in pattern of making food.
Furthermore weather changes affects both physically and mentally.
As I lived in Saudi Arabia for a
long time, whenever I visited Bangladesh during vacation, I did suffer
physically and mentally. Though Bangladesh is my native country , the stated
information are facts which includes pollution such as air pollution, noise
pollution and water pollution as well as traffic jam and mosquitoes . The
encounters that I dislike in Bangladesh includes mosquitoes and traffic jam
which I rarely encountered in Saudi Arabia and also noise and air pollution. Recently,
serious climate change has been observed in Bangladesh which made peoples life
more hectic and this can be hardly seen in any developed countries as proper
measurements are taken along with awareness. Although I am adapted to live in
Bangladesh, I still have advantage here that is I don't have to face language
barrier, I can travel anywhere without any sort of hassle to be asked about
guardian.
Saudi Arabia is a developed
country and it's still developing and brought about many changes which includes
the removal of restrictions on letting girls to drive and not letting them
travel alone without guardian. Moreover the starting of visit visa as well
removing ban on celebrating different festivals. Similar to that various
countries are developed now and giving out several opportunities in various
sectors such as education and job. By learning German language, anyone can
study there in free of cost.
Therefore, to me living in an extraneous country isn’t much tough as I was living away from my native country since I was born and it makes me feel my homeland more distant. But it’s not the same for those who were born and raised in their motherland and has to move abroad to establish their life. It provides unique experience and exposes to a different perspective to view the world of different culture and norms and allows to grow both professionally and personally.
