Image
I am a girl who has amazing people in my life by the grace of the Almighty. I find myself one of the luckiest people as I got two best friends like gems in my life.  Today I want to share some of my precious periods spent with one of them whose name is 'Jannatol Fardous Tasnim' .  Let me start with the beginning of our friendship. We got to know each other at the time of Covid, the days of our college life. We started to talk as college mates and spent a lot of time in online gossip together staying at home. Gradually our bond becomes stronger and stronger. We have a ton of memories together.  I gave her the nickname  'Tasi' and she loves when someone calls her by this name. I still remember, a person for the first time called her  'Tasi' in front of me and she was smiling and blushing like a pink rose.  The time after our public university admission test was quite frustrating for us. But we did not let ourselves feel lonely at that time. We tal...

Suicidal Tendencies “These days, these endless nights, they will end, they have to, as have the days that are gone before.”, these words keep playing in my head every day, and when the day surrenders to the night, these words come back to haunt me like the whispers of a lost loved one. Maybe these words hold me back from taking the final step, but how long? The weight of the memories that I have not shared, the unrequited and unresolved emotions, they get heavier with each passing day. With not a soul to tell, the body searches for ways to ease the pains the mind cannot. Can the physical pain numb what the mind cannot? It is worth a shot, nothing more to lose now. All of this, I am not saying these for the first time. These thoughts, they come back to me without notice, in a circle, like the hour hand of the clock slowly but surely comes back to the same position after leaving it for 12 hours. What ways are there, that would comfort my soul, even if it costs my body? Could it be t...

I have always enjoyed a special celebration called Pohela Boisakh, from when I was young until now. I like to follow the customs and traditions of this day when I celebrate it. Pohela Boishakh is a very important festival for the Bengali people. It is celebrated on the first day of the Bengali month called "Boishakh". Like people from other countries, Bengalis also have their own way of celebrating their new year. This way is unique to Bengalis and sets them apart from people of other nations. Not just people from Bangladesh, but also people from West-Bengal, Assam, Tripura, and Bengalis all around the world celebrate this happy festival. On this special day, people of different ages wear clothes that are red and white. They also have a meal called “panta-ilish,” which is rice soaked in water and served with Hilsha fish. They take part in morning marches and visit fairs. The day begins with a song called “Esho hey boishakh” sung under a special tree at Ramna. After that, the ...
